does any of you guys have used Rogaine for hair loss ???
I am loosing some hair on my front head & am worried about it. Want to do something before its late. So I went to dermatologist for my recent hair loss problem & he said it is a natural phenomenon & nothing could be done unless you do an hair implant. He says no shampoo or conditioner can stop complete hair loss. But he recommends using ROGAINE which would cost somewhere around $150 for 3 bottles.....
Would like some info if you guys have it. How long would 3 bottle go ??
You can even throw your own solutions for dealing with hair loss.... I generally have never went mad after shampoo or conditioner. Would use anything my wife gets for her which is generally pantene or h&s or some other brands.

You need 1 Bottle per month ..so 3 months for 3 bottles. So $ 50 per month , its expensive.
You have to keep on using it for life time, so the moment you stop using it, the hair will start falling again. So even after the hair comes
Rogaine works best for the top of the head & back of the head.
It doesn't work that well, for the front of the head & side temples, so its might NOT be much use to you ..but eventually your headline is going to recede & cover the top & back of your head to..its called MPB - Male Pattern Baldness.
Lot of side effects of Rogaine experienced by most people , mild depression , dark circles under your eyes, loss of sex drive etc. You might expect some , all or none of these side effects..but most people do experience atleast some.
Or you can get this from India , its called Hair 4 U , its exactly the same thing as Rogaine , same chemicals etc but much cheaper ..its about Rs. 500
HAIR 4 U 60ML - chemical is MINOXIDIL same as ROGAINE.
Hair4U , Rogaine are just brand names for the actual chemical MINOXIDIL

You know a lot of things. You are almost a dictionary.
I have not heard of Hair 4 U in Kerala. However, I see some oil advertized in the shopping network that says that it is hair oil from the Amazon jungle tree. It is called Ervamatin. Is that and Hair 4 U the same?
Also can I use it? I am suffering from hairloss (mild) from the top of my head (though not much in the front of my head). I am not worried about money (as I make lots in India) or should I go to an indian dermatologist and ask him?
On a side note : $ 50 for a month is nothing for a software engineer / engineer in a top post. I used to spend $ 5 on Tim Hortons coffeee daily though free coffee was available in my office.

No Hair 4 U is different. Its made by GLENMARK PHARMACEUTICALS in India. Walk into ANY chemist in India & he will know about it.

Online price is shown above , but the chemist usually sell it for much cheaper than that.
Its either a Reddish bottle or a Whitish bottle. It could be 5 % solution or more , the stronger the solution the better ( % wise ) , but go for an in between % first.
Cut your hair very short initially when you apply it , so that the solution reaches your SCALP directly, and doesn't get wasted by applying it to your hair.

Hair 4 U , its a chemical & synthetic process, which is guaranteed..but there might or might not be some other side effects. That's the disadvantage of chemicals.
But hair regrowth on TOP of the head & BACK of the head is guaranteed.
Front of the head & Side temples will be so so..but some growth will be there also..more so on the front & less so on the side temples.
Ervamatin is a natural product ( not chemical )..so apparently NO side effects..natural products are all well & good..but like most they don't really work . Not much scientific evidence & proof & trials.
I am always skeptical about natural cures for cancer, heart attack, hair loss etc etc..through Ayurveda , Homeopathy etc. These same guys run to a regular doctor or hospital at the first sign of heart attack , cancer etc for chemotherapy , radiation, by pass surgery, angioplasty etc . I don't know where their natural cures go then.
