Kiran Bedi is a radical-feminist ghoul. She has more bark than bite and comes with a post-modernist mindset(read, has her head firmly up her buttocks). In other words, a complete anti-thesis to a traditionalist, conservative BJP.
So why did BJP choose her? IMO, it is more reflective of Delhi as a place--batsh1t-crazy urban electorate-- rather than that of an opportunist, mediocre BJP as a party who have become default winners due to low-quality opposition led by dregs like Kejriwal, Pappu and the gang.
I have always maintained that all sides of the political spectrum in India are financed,manipulated and controlled by same interests. The lesson from all of this puppet-show is that no matter who wins or loses the elections, the puppeteer will always come out the winner.
The puppeteers(globalists) will go to the bank laughing, while the rest of us wait for manna to fall into our laps. This time with Modi around, a few scraps of that manna will indeed fall into our laps, that's all. Don't expect too much within the current set-up. Steadying the ship is what will be accomplished.
PS: I am not picking on Delhites. Most urban voters across India are like that. Rural people are corrupt in their own ways, but very limited in their scope. Delhi, on the other hand has a radius of influence that is unmatched on per capita basis by any other geographic entity.

Do not know why we all we have such a short memory. Even as late as Jan or March' 14 it was Sonia, MMS and Chidambaram hogging the limelight.
Once the money bags realised they have crushed the Cong/UPA for all they could like the roadside sugarcane vendor and that Rahul may not be a good bet slowly switched sides. From then on it was Modi and Modi everywhere.
Probably it was Jaitley who brokered the deal with the rich and famous that the BJP government wouldn't touch any of the money bags and their ill-gotten wealth unlike Advani who threatened about it in 2009. Because of Advani's "wrong" move BJP narrowly lost the elections then.
The money bags were also assured that Advani and others like Swamy, Gurumurthy or Prof. Vaidyanathan would have no say in the new government's policies when BJP came to power. All these catapulted BJP with the party "mysteriously" getting absolute majority and sweeping states like UP.
Modi's performance with this absolute majority really deserves a Bharath Ratna going by the media build up such people are given these days.
AK may not make it all as a politician. But at least he is from the people of Delhi

Again regarding this giving "free" for the poor and needy it is again a myth created through media propaganda by the corporate and rich. People like Tatas and Ambanis are only enjoying "free" through "exemptions" and lobbying. Most of the poor in India work anywhere between 8 to 16 hours a day but still are not sure of the next day's food.

It really surprises me to see this pattern, the side that resent with AK is seen widely using widely tough, defaming and denigrative language while those defending are using largely civil. This includes common news side be it is TOI, NDTV. Something is not right.
