A very good info for those who are really struggling. Till the date I did not even know about some the place and I am really thankful to God that I did not have to know about it.
But indeed helpful.
BTW after taking advantages of all these services which are offered mostly by volunteers, did you volunteer at such places?

I did not take use all the services like soup kitchen etc... but these are what I have understood after spending 9 years in Canada.
These are from personal experiences, reading The Star, Redflagdeals.com and hearing from other desi's.
It is by no means a full list but this is what I know.
As for volunteering, Yes. I have volunteered by spending time on work (for free) on saturdays, many sundays and many holidays.
I have also volunteered helping special people in shopping malls, like opening the main door, hitting the handicapped open button, loaded wheel chairs in vans etc...
