Hi,
Plz help and guide me. My wife became a PR last year and since then we got married. My wife is sponsoring me and the case is still in very early stages. Now, she has given birth to a child , while she was visiting me i-e in Pakistan.
Now, the problem is how can this child be sponsored. She cant leave her here as baby is being breast-fed, she is herself in her early days of PR-ship. is it possible that in our situation the baby goes with mother before my case is finalized. Also to add that Islamabad takes a long long time to process family class cases for spouses. What can we do for our baby , who cant be separated from mother.

Congratulations are in order. First for getting married and then once more on the new arrival.
Did (she) you work after landing here in Canada? If so for how long?
Since she got married after returning back, has she informed the CHC there, as regards to, her change in Family status?
Get a Pakistani Passport for the Baby and apply for a visitor's visa for the baby, if she wants to travel into Canada with the baby, explaining to the Canadian Visa Office there, the current situation you are in. Also, does she have any support here in Canada or Family that she can rely upon, when she lands here together with the baby? If so, does she want to start back at her work place soon?
Also inform the Canadian High Commission there in Pakistan about the birth of the baby with a copy of the Birth Certificate, translated into ENGLISH or French, and with a copy of the Passports of both the Parents.
She is not in a position to sponsor you or the baby out side of Canada and so she will have to return back to Canada alone and then apply to sponsor both of you. You will have to bear the responsibilities of taking care of the baby in her absence. ( Or the family should help)
You both have put the cart before the horse. See how you can get out of this situation. This is a suggestion and see if it works.
