I am a new immigrant to Canada landed in October 2012 with my wife and two kids. Me and my wife have started working here since December 2012 and would like to visit some relatives and friends in Usa. Is it advisable to apply for a visa now? what is the possibility of getting a visa? Should we wait for some more time and then apply? Do we have to show any bank balance?

I waited a year to apply, I don't think there is any requirements as such.
Both employed is a firm fact to show your bonding with Canada.

As many did, I would wait for a year to be on a safer side.

Employment letter is crucial.
Show funds in the bank, have a purpose/time of proposed visit that makes sense .
