Hi CD friends,
Can some of the CD friends share their views on "Insulation of Attic"
I need to have it checked and or redone if not proper.

My house has an additional level on top of the normal one level above the main floor.
My 3rd bedroom , falls on this level, which is kind of hot in summer, and cold in winter, in comparison with the rest of the house.

You can rent a attic insulation blower from Lowes or HD and blow in insulation. With the purchase of 20 bags of insulation, the rental is free (for 24 hrs). It only takes about an 2 hours or so.

If a group of 2 to 3 people get together, then you can finish all 3 houses in a day as well as use up all the 20 bags (and may be more) of insulation.

Other options:

1. Looking installing a solar powered attic fan, but that would only solve your summer problem.

2. Install fans within your duct system to blow air towards the top floor.

Thanks Sudeshji, for your reply, however I am too ignorant on the procedure you mentioned, do you have any alternate suggestions? and the cost associated with it.
