I am not from that area, but in general that is not quite a metro area and so the cost of living should be lower. Also not many immigrants are going there, so there should be some opportunities for jobs. The petro/chemical jobs are there.

If you like desi community, there is some. Not significant. Nearest big city will be Detroit which will be about 1 hour drive.

My opinion is that Lambton college takes a lot of immigrant students who looks for jobs to suppliment their fees. Jbbs are hard to come by as the local work force itself is not able to find odd jobs.
Peace

LOl!
Looks like you donot know anything about Canada,
Canada will squeeze you max. with fees, no job and you may return without earning any money to India.
Unless you can afford a car, you will not be able to study in Lamton and stay in Toronto. The distance is like 3 hours by car. May be London is nearer but then London is also going through recession (with the natives taking up all the job).
You will not be allowed to enter USA unless you have "high value" passport (like Cdn., British etc...)
Donot have high hopes. You will lead a miserable life in lamtom with 10 desi students in a 2-bed apartment trying to save money and cursing the cold.
Peace

Sarnia is about 3.5 hour drive from Toronto. As a full time student on a student visa (I am assuming), you cannot work full time.

In order to receive a job offer from the USA, you should be able to travel for a face to face interview to the US (most cases) and depending on your nationality, you will need a visa to enter the visa. For interviews, you will need a B visitor visa as a basis to enter US and to work, your US employer has to sponsor you for a H or equivalent work visa. Obtaining a US visa is a long drawn process and as a non-resident of Canada (if you are on student visa), the likelihood of obtaining US visa from Canada is poor.
