I got married recently, I wanted my wife to join me as soon as possible, and I am a permanent resident of Canada, it seems like the sponsorship application takes time.What is the best way I can get my wife here??

Can she apply for Visitor Visa- If yes how much time she can stay in Canada on Visitor Visa?? Will she have to go back..how can i make a smooth transitioning so that she continues to stay here and the process goes on without she having any problems staying here.

i have a similar problem, i am planning to file her visitors visa, and then process her PR from India....

I am on PR and i am going to India next month to get married, I understand I cant sponsor my fiance as a visitor and she can enter to Canada only as a PR once I sponsor her. Since this process will take 4-6 months can I have my family friend sponsor her visitor's visa much before we marry and then later I start her PR process from India??

Single women have a hard time getting visitor visa to canada on their own...

You can try for student visas, which are slighlt easier to get..

If a spouse comes here and then the person gets sponsored the application process for PR is very time consuming (almost 2 years ) and until the process is complete, the person is deemed illegal hence gets no access to OHIP.


Recommended way is to sponsor the spouse while the person is overseas..

Out of Canada Spousal PR Applications are processed fastest .
