Hi Guys

Has anyone here or their family or friends live/lived in Charlotte, North Carolina. If so, can you pls tell me how the city is in terms of cost of living, house price, desi establishments etc.

I lived in Charlotte more than 12 years back, it was a very nice place, inexpensive everything. University area was good.

Lots of jobs as you have bank Head quarters there, same with Insurance companies too.

Weather is much moderate compared to Canada, looks beautiful green.

The thing I didn't like is crime.. My close friend was a victim. But then it is the same mugging thing that is quite prevalent in much of Mid to South east of USA.

Its about 3 hours drive from another beautiful city Durham and then you have Cary on i-77. There is a decent sized chennai based population lives there and they often celebrate Pongal and other tamil functions, if you like to...

Thanks JRF, appreciate your quick response. I am planning to live around the city center where I will be working. Is that a good arae to live in terms of crime rate.

I heard from friends living around the downtown core isn't going as pleasant as the suburbs.
