Hi all,

Saw the India-England match, courtesy a club member pass from a relative. Glad that I sat till the end. Interesting last over, but I have my doubts abt last two balls of the last over. Stadium was packed.

Shane Warne had predicted that it would be a tie. Hmm…what was going on?

I don't know what was going on but no doubts it was a nail-biting match!I enjoyed it!
(I will be sad to know it was fixed)!

I have seen too, but the way the match was oscillating, i highly doubt it.

Assume that our bowlers intentionally bowled very badly but hitting few sixers at the last two overs ? If the english batsman did not score those sixers, then ?

I have no doubts b'cos the match was tied after hitting few sixers.

of course it was fixed.
fixed does not mean every single ball and every single shot is fixed.

usually a few things are fixed such as one batsman not playing well or one bowler not bowling well or allowing a batsman to free score runs.
most common is that the final result is fixed.

i'd wager that pretty much most key matches these days are fixed.
even today there are allegations against Sri Lanka captain for match fixing.
the worst culprits are the sub continent teams - Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka.
Australia is rogue as well.

cricket is now just one big rigged game.
it is silly to waste time watching these matches and partaking in this stupidity.

People having cricketing knowledge knows very well that any bowler or batsman will have a bad day. Our bowlers consistently not bowling well so i can not agree to your statement that our bowlers did not bowl well on sunday against england.

Infact no bowler bowled well. All bowlers have been paid ?

How come eng. tail enders hit sixers ?

Nowadays with all the player scrutiny and phone tapping etc, I doubt if matches are fixed.

For the matches to be fixed, both captains have to be involved and key bowlers and batsmen also have to be on the take.

Nowadays players are so well compensated and make so much in endorsements that the lure of fixing is not as much.

not necessarily that capt. will be involved.
but yes usually it is the key players that have to be involved to make a difference.
like key batsman or key bowler.

just look at what's been happening last few years.
almost the entire Pakistan team was involved in match fixing.
so many Sri Lanks have been charged.
and of course we know about some of our top ex players that were involved.
then there were the south africs and the australians that were involved.

i find it hard to believe that all of it has suddenly stopped.
i think the fixers and the betters have just gotten smarter to avoid getting caught.
still there are some allegations or others every few months.

there is no end to greed.
with all the money that's pouring in, it's only making the problem worse
