Here is an another question regarding my appeal case.
After refusal of my husband visa from canadian consulate in islamabad, as a canadian sponsor, i summitted the appeal forms to IMMIGRATION APPEAL DIVISION in canada.
Today i recieved the letter stating that i have to attend a scheduling conference by the end of this mth and then they will decide when my appeal hearing will take place. They also mentioned that at this time the IAD is scheduling appointment in the mth of november and december. Furthermore letter also said that a counsel can represent me if i am unable to attennd the conference. i donnto have a lawyer at this moment.
i am currently in pakistan with my husband.
what i donnt understand is do i need to be go to canada for the scheduling conference or should i get a lawyer?
when they say counsel - it can be anyone or it has to be a lawyer?
approx how much the lawyers fees?
i will apperciate if anyone can advice me. I am totally frustrated and helpless by all the immigration thing and i need to get to canada with my husband to start my life.
any tips r welcome.

Anyone can attend on your behalf and schedule the hearing [court] date.
However, if you intend on hiring a lawyer for the appeal, then it's best to retain the lawyer now so that he/she cn schedule the hearing according to his/her availability.
In Vancouver, we are scheduling into July.
We charge C$4,500 for such appeals payable in instalments.

1. IAD (immigration appeal division) ask me to send all the pics or documents which i think is necessary. So can i send the CD OF OUR PICTURES during the last 3 year of our marriage?? ( i have over 400 pics)
2. can a friend or cousin appear on scheduling date and what documents thay require to show it to them if any?
3. Mr. Masood is this fee negotiable???
or if u can ref me to someone else, to be honest i cannot pay that much.
Sorry that i am asking so many question buz i totally lost it with all this mess made by immigration. i am afraid to take any step without a professional advice. i donnot understand why is it so hard to make them believe that my marriage is geniune.
