go for contract free plans from chatr/windmobile/public mobile starts at $25 unlimited incoming/outgoing while in their zone

Wind mobile has $15.00 chat plan. You will have 100 anytime minutes and Wind-Wind calling is free. That means calling between spouses if both have Wind mobiles would be free.

I think this is the cheapest and reliable plan.

It depends upon your relationship. If you are newly married, you may want to go for a unlimited service. In other case, you may not be interested to be connected :-).
