Hi,

I am looking for the rate offered to tourists for the dollar/rupee rate (not the commercial rate like that found on xe.com)

Any recommended website?

Check the website of banks. Here's one for TD bank

http://www.tdcanadatrust.com/fx/rates.jsp

You can also call SBI in Toronto @ 416-865-0414 x2400. It's an automated system 24 hrs, which gives you the rate for the day.
