Does anybody has any first-hand experience studying/working in E-MBA program? It is pretty expensive than regular/part time and is intensive, but I would like to have any other opinion on this program.

Also, does it matter whether you study courses like Economics/Accounting etc. over entire semester, or all these courses gets compressed into a single year programme?

I would suggest attending information sessions schedueled by each of the Universities. These information sessions on EMBA will anwer most of your questions. The advantages of EMBAs are
1) You get your MBA in or around a year
2) You work with the students that are already at managerial positions
3) You can continue your work while attending MBA.
I guess barring the cost, EMBA sounds better if you are already working over part time or full time MBA.

All this information is available on the net. Also, information sessions are just a way to sell their schools. That is why I am asking for a first-hand account - from people directly-indirectly involved in this program.

Well, I did some homework and did talk to folks who are currently in the program or already did..the kinds of opinions that I got were, again mixed. Now to enrol in E-MBA some universities do require you to attend information session.
I would suggest start your application process, since there is no fee for EMBA admission and it is a long process of writing essays and related stuff. You can choose not to submit final application based on your findings. And if it turns out that EMBA is not for you, you still will be able to use the same for your regular MBA application as well. Not sure if you want to decide between MBA and EMBA or altogether MBA or no MBA.
