Service is OK valuewise but reception is a big problem in many areas. I am using it since one month but not fully satisfied.

Hi
My daughter has enrolled for it , I am not atall happy with their services.
It simply sucks
you buy the 3g handset to start with.

Is it possible to bring mobile handset from India (handsets are quite cheap in India) and connect to one of the service providers.

Mobilicity works on AWS spectrum which is only in NA.
99.9% Indian, Rogers , Fido,ATT and Telus will not work

Only Few TMobile handsets are compatible with AWS

Mobilicity still has teething problems. For example, the entire GTA is not covered. Places such as Oakville are "out of area". Just the other day the service was down for 4 hours for "technical reasons".

Customer service is not efficient - one has to wait about 20 - 25 minutes before one speaks to a CSR. It looks like they are short staffed. In contrast,

Wind mobile seems to have a larger coverage, plus there are great promotions like a $ 25 credit per month for 6 months for customers porting their numbers.

You could use your quad band GSM phones on the fido network. It should work on Rogers too.
I use mine from India on Fido and it works just fine.
