Agreed. If I am right, countries like Denmark have good public health care system. The population there is small. In US its abt 300 million and counting.
If Dems lose November elections due to other reasons (eg. unemployment) rather than because of healthcare reform, Repubs will have the majority and they can do what they want. Look at he way they have voted, based on the party lines. There is always a threat of a repeal. It comes down to politics, lobbying by ins companies, and bloated egos.

Just for those who believe that the GOP can repeal the health care bill:
Unless the GOP seizes two-thirds of both chambers of Congress in the mid-term elections, which is mathematically impossible for the Senate, Republicans cannot override a veto on a repeal bill.
They could pass it in the Senate if they manage to get a small majority using the same reconciliation process.
However Barack Obama can and will veto any such bill outright.
I don't like to hee hah about issues that are kinda far for me! But I would like to tell the Nightmare.... every time you cluck on that keyboard, you are displaying your ignorance in all Eastman colors. Are you senile? You don't seem to have the words to hold an argument. I am suspecting your incoherent ramblings are perhaps an indication of your senility. Nothing wrong with being senile but it is not necessary to about debating things you don't know!

Nightmare - the nightmare for socialists like Obama, and left leaning progressives like me. I am sorry to disappoint you that the nightmare for many an American ended today, with "OBAMACARE" happening. The "guy from Kenya", has finally signed the health care bill.
You haven't answered my questions: I dare you to do that, or forever keep your peace.
By the way, the number of posts on this forum is not necessarily a sign of intellect. BEING INFORMED, is!
I assume that that, since you are so opposed to "socialism", higher taxes and subsidies,
1. You do NOT live in Canada, which is the best example of a socialist society. Heard of "Single payer" system, lately?
2. You do NOT visit walk in clinics, or check into emergency rooms because these are products of a socialist agenda.
3. You return child care benefit and HST/GST rebate/refund checks to Revenue Canada because these come from subsidies.
4. Your children do not go to public schools because socialists like me subsidize your kids education through higher taxes. Instead you send your kids to private schools.
5. You do not use the library system, the parks, or any recreation center because these are run or maintained by higher taxes from socialists like me.
If you answered "NO" to any of the above, it makes you a nothing short of a hypocrite. I don't have a problem with your being a hypocrite - after all there are millions of them around.
The question would be : Do YOU want to be one of them?
POPULAR ANGER: where did you get that? Anger is never popular.
