Validity of travel document

My PR card expired 3 months ago while I am here in India.
I was not having plan to return , but now I changed my mind and willing to return to Canada.
How can I get travel document to enter Canada? Is it possible to get through VFS in India?
Experts please guide me.

Travel document can be only applied by people who don't have a PR card and want to enter Canada when their PR is active. Expiring of PR and PR card are two different things. If your card expired and you have never lived in Canada it means your PR expired and you never used it.....to come back to Canada as a PR will mean a new application and a fresh process.

If you have a valid PR even though your card expired you can approach Embassy for your travel document, I think VFS services are for tourist and non immigrant services (not sure).

You must have lived here and collected your P.R.Card. If your stay here, within Canada, is TWO years or over, I am sure the CHC in India will consider your application for a Travel Document. If you have three years or more, then, they know that you are a serous Immigrant who is really desirous of getting back into Canada.

Just for the sake of returning, you should go to the website and apply for a Travel Document. It will cost you fifty dollars for that. Now here is the interesting part of the application, since they ask for enough details in it, it will tell them if you are eligible or not and they will have to tell you one way or the other if you can get back into Canada. That is a decision that it screams for.

You are a Canadian P.R. You cannot apply for another while you are in Possession of the first. A decision has to be made to provide you with an YES or NO first.

Yes, you can apply at a VFS office in India for a travel document (I got mine at VFS Bangalore). But you should still have permanent residency status (that is in the last 5 years, you were present in Canada for 2 years). If you can prove that, you will get a travel document. If you have lost your permanent residency status, there is an option in the form to ask for it on humanitarian grounds.

To prove that we stayed in canada for certail period what are the proofs they consider valid ? Is Airport entry -exit date ? or any other ?
If I stay in canada for 2 years & will return after 4-5 years then how many days I have to stay in canada for citizen ship ?
If I complete 1100 days in canada in first 5 years & then leave canada , Can I apply for citizenship ?
