Regarding Police clearance certificate

Hai, I need some information regarding PCC. Right now I am in Toronto on workpermit, I came here in Feb'2004.
Before coming here I have worked in UK for 20 months. I came to know that I need to have the PCC of UK as I have stayed more than six months in UK.
Is this true? Is this must? If it is true do I need to travel to UK again and get the PCC. Is there any alternative? I have my recent indian PCC so is this enough for immigration. Please help me.

I am not sure about you PCC. But just i felt to contact you. Even i am on the work permit.

If you don't mind then can i ask you what kind of work permit you have and was is your job title.

Looking forward to share our experiences.

Contact the nearest police station where you resided in UK and they'll send you the info. It takes approx. 35 days.

Easier if you lived in LOndon. JUst contact the Metropolitan POlice.

Massodji, thanks for the info but I heard that for PCC I need to go personally and submit the docs and I need to show atleast one of these UK Bank statement, UK utility bill or passport.At present I have only one option i.e, passport.
My question is PCC is mandatory for immigration. I have got India's PCC is that enogh?

PCC is essential and you don't have to be physically present in UK to apply for one.
