In Ottawa, I am told that regular flu shots are given for 65+ only. I called my doc and was told by the front desk that regular flu shots for ordinary janata will be later this month. H1N1 shots are given for the priority as the following:

People 6 months old to 65-years-old with chronic medical conditions
Healthy children between 6 months and five years of age and their family members (irrespective of their age)
Health care workers
Household contacts and care providers of infants younger than six months and people with compromised immune systems
Pregnant women

Windsor had a special health clinic past saturday for under 5, pregnant women and people with chronic issues. Had my son vaccinated (despite me saying otherwise in another thread), took less than 30 minutes of waiting.

I was pleasantly surprised as the general queue for walk-ins in Windsor and metro Detroit area (yes, I scout the Detroit area as well) is about 3 to 5 hours long.

I have seen an astounding youtube video entitled "The Bell is Tolling for the swine flu."
The speaker is a nun, a Phd Public Health practicioner speaking about several irregularities about this A-H1N1 virus and its distribution. (She speaks Spanish, but with English sub - titles). I watched all six parts.

A. It is less dangerous than normal flu viruses
B. There is an investigation about this (synthesized) "A" type virus being mixed with the bird flu - which is more dangerous.
C. Another irregularity includes the H1N1 having a chemical mix that is 10 times more potent than regular vaccines. That chemical is what stimulates one's immune system. This strong dose is what is causing the side effects, paralysis and deaths. That is not stated outright, but it is not what other vaccines do.
D. Viruses take about 70 years to mutate and evolve, yet a second "wave" is hitting the general populace? She concludes it therefore must be "another factor - another virus?" It doesn't make sense.
E. To begin with, the World Health Organization has just re-defined "Pandemic" in looser terms that enable 'action.'
F. Corporations have been ordered by the WHO to make and distribute this vaccine, but they will not do so unless by contract absolving them from all blame.
G. The nun urges using your commen sense.

Personally, I will not take the vaccine and will not let myself be hyped into fear. My reasoning is simple. The entire hype around this H1N1 is not objective but too shrouded in vagueness.

Why does the news media always talk about scarcity of the vaccine? Why is there a priority group at all? 100s of bottles are thrown into garbage each week - because they were over capacity and could not be utilized on time AND no one knows thier shelf life... This means there are less takers than the actual stock. In addition, if you call your family doctor, they probably have it in stock and will give it to ANYBODY. I know of many friends who took it - who dont belong to the priority group.

Just my 2 cents..(and my tax dollars gone down the drain..)

It goes in the doses of 10 once mixed with the adjuvant. Because of high priority groups, they are unable to do a proper estimate, for example, a family of 4 is standing in queue and only one or two qualifies under high priority group.

Now all the janata are open to get the shot in Ottawa. Took it yesterday morning, long line, but had gone their at 6.45. They had warned of soreness in the arm and I am going thru it.
Those who travel frequently, get the shot. There are number of desi/canadian janata who are refusing to take the shot. Their discretion.
