I am a KG teacher with around 5 yrs experience in an indian school in the Gulf. My husband has applied for canadian immigration and we hope to be in canada in the next 6 to 8 months.

I came to know that to teach as a KG teacher in canada one has to undertake a teachers training course in Canada. Through the internet I came across a montessori course for aspiring teachers which is based in Toronto --NAMC (North American Motessori Course). They are offering a distance learning programme.. I just wanted to check whether it is recognized by the montessori schools in Canada and will it be beneficial for me to do the same from UAE.

No Montessori training program can be undergone by "distance education" Montessori education requires specialized equipment which requires hand on training.

Don't get fooled by such courses. You will not land a job based on that.

Another option for you is to undergo an ECE (Early Childhood Education), when you land in Canada. This will enable you to teach preschoolers.
