has anyone used the urgent service for renewing PR card?
how long does it take?

We received your application for a permanent resident card on December 18, 2008.

We started processing your application on January 23, 2009.

Your request for a permanent resident card was approved on January 23, 2009. You will be notified by mail within four weeks and invited to pick up your card at the CIC office closest to you.



Though I haven't received anything in the mail :-))

Some of my clients have received the renewal within 7-10 days. You must include the copy of air-ticket and mark the envelop- \"Urgent processing requested-copy of air-ticket enclosed\"

Incase you have already applied, fax a copy of air-ticket

Praveen ji---Does the CIC send PR cards by mail on renewal. The PR card is supposed to be sent with the application form if the card has expired. In this kind of scenario,if they approve the renewal of PR card--do they mail the new PR card or is it still to be picked up from nearest CIC office ? Thanks in advance

The renewed PR Card has to be picked up from the nearest local office. CIC normally sends you a letter to inform you about the pick up
