Thanks for cautioning other CD s . I am sure those who attend seminars / invest in any scheme should converse themselves with the basics by reading more on the internet and getting aware before diving ...

This is not to dissuade Jinxed / NM but just a precautionary note .

You are most welcome Mr.Fido.
I hope our CD's get benefit out of this business especially when the job market is not lucrative.

Mkannuri, Fido and others:

There is some healthy skepticism in few of us. (I am not saying being doubtful is wrong. In fact, everyone will think twice before venturing into anything with their hard earned money. It's good to test the waters first)

If any of you attend the seminar, may be you can share your experience in this thread (for those who couldn't make it to the seminar). I just want to know how you felt about it, practicality of earning those returns or any other thing.

Of course, people can continue and update (once a month - may be) about the consistency of returns.

Thanks in advance.

So that is a significant free money from the money that you already get in forex + you have 24 hours in a day at your disposal.

Hi TK,
can you pls elaborate on this how one can get 20 to 30k free money from govt when ur self employed.
As far as i see that even self employed should pay taxes and forex money is not free as u have to pay capital gain taxes (around 40%),
CPP payments is mandatory i guess even for self employed as you generate payroll for your self.

Rest is understandable of low income benefits...but if you are making 100k you cannot show that u r low income no matter how you show the expenses on your company.
well if there is any thing i dont know here being self employed..please let us know so that i can get myself too.
cheers

20 to 30k according to TK is approximate calculation when there is no income in canada.

I can understand everyone will have to pay capital gain taxes on forex income, as it is earned outside canada.

Kannuri, if you feel TK is wrong you can elaborate how he is wrong. Everyone will benifit here.

As for as i know, TK knows in and out of government benifit, for those who are employed and un employed.

NM is right.
All this is free money (all legal payouts) when you are able to show that your family income is around $24-33K a year. This $24-33K family income is not what you earn(gross) but your net income after writing off your standard deduction, RRSP, Medical, Union fees, Daycare costs, Charitable donation costs etc...
The handouts increase with the size of you family.
In essence this 20 to 30K handout from the govt. will come in this form
1. CCTB / Universal / national child supplimet
2. No income tax deduction on the income that you would have otherwise earned in payroll. Same for CPP/EI deductions. No health tax deduction.
3. GST /PST credits
4. Rent / Electricity subsidy
5. Day care subsidy as a result of low income.

The drawback is : For the year 2009, you only get the benefits starting in July 2010. So what this means is that, for a whole 2009, you will have to suffer with low salary + your savings to start receiving these benefits from the govt. from July 2010 to June 2011. OTOH, even if you start the year 2010 with a 130K salary, you will receive these benefits (some are not taxable) from July 2010 to June 2011.
For new immigrants, Canadian govt. see's the world income for the previous year to start handing out these benefits. If you world income for the previous year is less than $ 24K or atleast below $30-$33K , then you will receive these generous benefits from the govt. from Canadian tax dollars.

So just imagine if you are a single parent with 4 or 5 children. Your benefits will be astronomical. You need not save for your children's education , marriage etc... You children will be eligible for OSAP, Bursary's, Handouts from studying in university and parents in Canada do not pay for the wedding of their children, dowry etc...

Hope this sheds some light about the social set up of Canadians.

Peace by TK

Dear NM,
This thread is getting hijacked if we discuss about govt benefits and how they reflect on each indidual.
I am not an accountant, but my account made sure to kept me in low income bracket to reduce the personal taxes. but i am sure i was not getting 20 to 30k free money from govt.Infact not even close to 6k per annum.

Jai ho....lets discuss how to make money from forex business and lets leave how to save and get benefits to "Auditors" :-)
cheers

To show how some people rip off the Govt.(legitimately or illegitimately - you decide). Here's my personal experience from a guy I met a couple of years ago. Well, he was my driving instructor to be precise.

This guy drives a Cab in the night - gets paid in cash. Teaches driving by day, mostly to the immigrants - gets paid in cash again. This means no taxes. He has declared to the Govt. that he's unemployed. He's got 3 kids - gets a substantial child care benefits. He has rented out his basement - gets paid in cash for the rent, which again he doesn't show as income.

So, this guy doesn't pay any tax and living HANDSOMELY on Govt's free payouts. Ever heard of Tax free income - that too in Canada? Well, this guy has it all. He got a detached house in a high real estate market here in Vancouver, and his wife doesn't work at all(Wow!!). Living a Canadian dream (if such thing exists)

How do I know this all? He himself told me openly and proudly by thumping his chest. So, I agree with TK completely when he says one can live off on Govt. payouts alone if smart and knows how to rip off the system.

Go figure...

buy a delivery van (search in Kijiji/craiglist) for purchase of van. You post a free ad on kijiji/craiglist for movers. My mover charged me $ 125 for 45mts delivery time from north york to etobicoke. let us assume even $100 per move and say 3-4 clients everyday. You can even post an ad that you deliver small boxes to various places in Toronto. you get 12-15 $ per hour. Investment is less and you can easily earn 3000-5000 depending on the business you get.
