Does workopolis have a Paid mode whereby on paying a monthly fees your resume goes to more Employers ?

I am in India right now ... and have posted my resume on Workopolis and Monster ...
I am a CISSP and mainly into Network/Information Security ...

I do find hundreds of job on these portals in this area but when I apply to them I don't get any reply . I mention in the cover letter that a I am a PR applicant and will get it by 2010.

So what I need to know is that its because I am in India no body calls me or even if I land in Canada the story will the same ?

and ya another thing I would like to know is that do any Canadian employers give preference to PR applicants or do they treat them like any other outside Canada application ?

what I am looking at is may be before I get my PR if I can get a job in Canada ?
I know its difficult but is it possible by using these sites like Workopolis or Monster ...

Or am I just wasting my time ?

Hi dragoman,

You arenot a PR yet. Also, you are in India right now. The position has to be filled now. How can you expect them to contact you now? You are wasting your time.

Hi Raajen ,

Ya it was probably a dream of getting a job in Canada before even landing there .. but seems like its impossible . I was wondering if an employer can give me a job so that I can go there on work visa and within a year I will get my PR anyways .

Thanks for letting me know ... I would at least get my mind out of these sites ( workopolis and monster ) for the time being.

Every newcomer to Canada dreams / strives to get settled even before landing, but if it would've been that easy, why would there be a Point system in place that CIC spends years to filter the applicant.

There isn't anything wrong to dream, as without dream there isn't a road you know you wanna ride.

Good luck while you are waiting.. sure, you will progress when you come here.
