- Nazar Lage Na Saathiyo - Des Pardes
- Yoon Neend Se Woh Jaan-E-Chaman - Dard Ka Rishta
- Chitthi Aayee Hai - Naam - (Too mushy)
- I love my India - Pardes (Too Jingoistic)
- Hai Preet Jahaan Ki Reet Sada - Purab aur Paschim - Actually it is song sung by an India in a "phoren" country

Any more additions?? This cannot include "Deshbhakti" songs like "Mere Desh Ki Dharti" or "Bharat Humko

Does "Ae mere pyare watan" from Kabuliwala count?
It's not per se an NRI song, but it's more universal for anyone living away from his/her homeland.

Agree.

However, it would be quite ironical for an Afghan (as shown in movie/novel) to be nostalgic about current day Afghanistan

bade dino ke baad , hum be watano ko yaad .... watan kee mitti aayee hai ...

Pankaj Udhas , the artiste was once a Canadian so I heard ...

'Four years down the line struggling with ghazals Pankaj got no returns. Frustrated and discouraged from all sides he migrated to Canada and did a lot of ghazal shows there and in the US at small gatherings. The response enthused him and he decided to return home with much stronger will to make a mark in ghazals itself. Playback was out of the way for him now. '
