Hi,
I have a got a parking fine this morning, for parking near the fire hydrant.
Can I go to court and dispute the fine. I could not see the fire hydrant because it was garbage daym and big items on the street blocked the view of the fire hydrant.
Any thoughts
Cheers

Do you have a picture of the situation with the pile of garbage cans etc., piled up in front of the sidewalk obscuring the Fire Hydrant? May be you have time to fight it too.!
First check the time and date, the license number (Yours), name of the street, location of the Fire Hydrant etc., if they are correct, exact to the numbers, spelling etc., then proceed to the next step.
Was the Engine running. Were you dropping or picking people or parked with the engine shut off?
Contesting or Mitigating Your Ticket: If you believe you were issued a ticket in error or you have mitigating circumstances, you may appeal it by requesting a hearing.
To request a hearing, check the appropriate box on the ticket, sign it, provide a return address and return the ticket to the Parking Services Office. Parking Services staff will set a hearing date and notify you in writing.
Please keep photo copies.
In any case, it is not a 'moving violation'. No demerit points. If you can do like what the dogs do, then please go and pay it and for get it. I know it hurts.(the pockets)
