I have been there on a business trip. Supposedly a historic town where the mexicans conspired to overthrow the spaniards who ruled them at that time. Anyway, beyond that, don't know much. Our group dined at some restaurant located in narrow alleys in the downtown area.

Queretaro is nice city, I used to saty at Hotel Mirabel near downtown. there are numbers of restaurent at center squre in one line, i didn't remember the name but of right side outof three center one has a very good food.
but If you are looking for traditional Traditional Taco than thoes restaurent is not good, there is one on same street to Hotel Mirable (walking to left side) has all kind of tacos and good price.
If you are flying to Mexico city, than there is a direct bus from Mexico city to Queretaro, and prepaid taxi at the Queretaro bus station to anywhere you are going.
