Hi Everyone,

We came here in the month of June and my wife is 27 weeks pregnant, she did her blood test like Glucose, Iron,etc and doctor said her Sugar level is more (9) than normal, but in India she was fine and her Glucose level was normal, So i want to know that is it serious problem within pregnancy or not?

Hi Gulsharan dont worry, this is during time of pregnancy and it will go afterwards, if u need more information then pm me. I was diabetic before but my sugar level was well controlled during pregnancy - Your wife has to control her food and exercise lightly so that baby will not be affected with the glucose level and baby wont be huge. In my case i was on insulin and monitor my sugar level 4 times in a day and my baby was born 5.10 pounds and now he is 10 pounds. and i am not sure if you had received ur ohip card yet, then u can be covered to see a diabetic specialist and dietician - Then by 30 weeks doctor will send her for stress check up which is twice a week - if ever u need more information about it then send me an email. wish her good luck.
