Anybody been to St Jacobs village? Any advice on what to see etc.?
I ve been, they have stuff for sale : hand made....very good but expensive....cant remember much now, small village, good for a day visit, shops mainly, and nature...few trails...
Thanks Aashu. hmm... It's all shopping, is it?
St.Jacobs village is a menonite town. Quaint and old school...i.e., no flashy neon signs, horse driven carriages...it just takes you back in time. In fact the Bank of Nova Scotia building there has signs carved out in just wood...
Realistically speaking, it was a letdown for me personally. There are no attractions as such and it is a very small place. And you know novelty stores that often lure you from the outside are quick to bring you back to reality with their prices...as is the case most of the times.
If you are heading that way, you may want to do a couple of other things in that area. There's the Wings of Paradise Butterfly conservatory in Campbridge about 20kms before the village.
