dear all,
i am working with a reputable canadian company in the gulf region since jan 2006.
in april 2007 i landed in montreal and became permanent resident of canada then cameback to my company in the gulf.
meanwhile i am paying my taxes to the canadian government as if i am still in canada.
in april 2009 i will complete 2 years with the company after becoming permanent resident my question is that in april 2012 will i be elligible to renew my PR??(spent 2 years within 5 with a canadian company abroad)
i appreciate your valuable responses.

no you have to be present physically in canada to renew the PR/or to get the citizenship.

If you are hired by Canadian company listed in canadian employees and paying income Tax in Canada, these years count towards your Canadian residency for citizenship. So you seems to in excellent situation. which company do u work for?

This is a completely WRONG advice. The years might count towards maintaining your PR status (but it depends on the citizenship judge and other factors too, so this situation should be avoided since it falls in a grey area).
This period is NOT counted towards getting the cdn citizenship though. The physical presence IS required for the citizenship purposes.

i don't understand cdn why this situation is unclear and why it should be avoided (years might be counted for maintaining PR status ).
i am a pr,i got a verry good offer with this company (almost double than what i can get in canada)what should i do? what do u do in my place?
i am really confused can u help me by giving me the person to whom should i address the question and get the definite answer .
i dont want to loose the pr status nor the good career while respecting the laws.
regards,

I did not say that it is unclear - what I said was that it is in the grey area. That means it does not fall clearly into the law that prefers the physical presence as far as maintaining the PR status or the citizenship is concerned.

Therefore it goes into the hands of citizenship judge. Once it goes there, it entirely depends on how he interpretes your departure from Canada i.e. whether it was necessary or if you were transferred by the cdn company out of Canada. If it was purely a (career) path chosen by you, then there is a strong possibility that the case will not be viewed in your favour. The purpose of granting you the PR (that the PR should live and work in Canada and promote cdn economy) is defeated in your case and hence you could lose your PR status.
