I am a student of Numerology and day by day, I realise that numbers around us have tremendous influence on the way our life goes.
Though Numerology is NOT an exact Science, the numbers in our names, dates, phone, house, car, do have an impact on our very being.
The vowels in the names of residents of Northern Hemisphere, for instance, have a specific pattern and frequency of repetition , very different from the South Asian ones and the personalities and the attitude towards life as a whole match with the vowels.
Of course, i am only still learning this wonderful science, (Kindergarten) for personal knowledge gaining, and the only method i have come across is the Pythagorean one, but can any one throw any light on this science ?
Could be beneficial for many.
you can get some info here about this subject.

I love numerology though i do not apply it for myself
.
Success of it you can see in Ekta kapoor's interest and other famous ppl changing their names.
In India Sunjay Jumani is a big name in numerology.
CHEIRO, greatest and most successful of modern times as a numerologist and written many books.
Now a days numerologist all seem to be using the Pythagorean method. Mainly because it's easier for them to remember the lettering.
There is another method 'Chaldean method' and Kabbalah (Hebrew Alphabet)
can be used to calculate and interpret.
Chaldean numerology was originally developed in Ancient Babylon (now Iraq), and combines Kabbalistic name interpretation with aspects of astrology. The 9 is considered holy and therefore is kept apart from other vibrations, except when it results as the sum of vibrations (e.g., from an individual's name).
In Chaldean numerology, compound numbers always used. Single digits represent the outer aspects of a person, while double digits reveal inner influences.
