My friend is in US with immigrant, he is still waiting for physical green card.
He likes to visit Canada does he need visitor visa for Canada? Or the US immigrant visa stamp (which is valid for one year multi entry) is enough?

a very happy new year!
i am not an expert but AFAIK though the immigrant visa is valid for 1 year it is only valid for one time entry.Once he enters united states that visa is no more valid.thatz what i know.letz wait for few others to comment on.

If that stamp (I-551) is valid for 1 year and is multiple entry, then he does not need a visitor's visa to Canada. Also, He can safely return to the US using that stamp (within its validity period).
