I just enrolled for the Easy Talk More plan with sears connect (23.99 / month for 800 minutes).

I had a couple of questions for the people who already have this service -

1) I was wondering as to how the month is calculated for purposes of billing. Is it a calendar month i.e. 1st Oct - 30th Oct; or someday in the middle of a month for next 30 days?

Sears connect customer service seems to be clueless and are giving me contrasting answers. Without that information it is not possible to figure out when does the monthly quota i.e. 800 minutes reset.

2) If the billing is not based on a calendar month, then how is the 1st month handled? Is the money and the minutes prorated for the 1st month,

You can call 1-888-680-1212 to get the remaining minutes. they will tell u when ur mins gets reset.

You seem to makea mountain out of a mole...

They charge pro rata .

Warrior - Thanks for your reply. the reason I posted this question on this forum was that the customer service was unable to give me an answer. And I feel that it is better to have all the information before trying anything out.

I have been using Sears connect for the past two months and i had similar questions as u asked. To finally get an answer I did have to call the customer service a couple of times.
The conclusion is as follows- Sears takes the calender month based on when u Sears card is billed . For eg if the sears card statement is issued on say the 3rd of the month they stop the billing for the Sears talk about 3-4 days before. That works out to the 28th or the 29th of the month. U can know the exact date by calling up customer service. Even if one of them say they don't know call again so that u get another agent to re-confirm. Also when u get ur Sears Talk bill it will tell u the date to which it is billed . For eg it will say calls charged till the say 28th of the month. That way u know that ur calender month starts from the 29th of that month to the 28th of next month.
I hope this helps. I have been happy with their service so far. I think the Sears Easy talk more is very good for people who call india often. It works out cheaper than any of the other packages.

This 800 mts is for all countries which is listed in website for $23.00
I am more interested in long distance Canada, US, UK & India ( mostly land line)

How to order this packages. I don't have any Sears Card at all.

I want to compare this card with Reliance India. So which one is better. the problem with Reliance is, they are not allowing Long Distance in Canada if its is registered in Canada

Can some one write more details
