I never come across in the Cities where I lived that Muslims are adopting Hindu Identity to lead their normal life. West is showing unnecessary interest to split Hindu and Muslim and trying to keep tension situation between India and Pakistan . I have couple of friends in Muslim and our friendship was not affected by any external factor.

There I agree. Even if the article was written by a Pakistani reporter, the Star is a Canadian tabloid. Let's treat this like a Canadian article.
Maybe there's some truth to the article in certain parts of India for some muslims. But the notion the article perpetuates that muslims en masse change their identities and keep Hindu idols in their homes out of fear is pure hogwash. Probe any big country deep enough and you'll find any anomaly you want to, that's what this "reporter" did and made a story out of.
And the bigger slap in the face to the Indian community is that this is all the tabloid found to publish on India's independence day. I'm not offended as a Hindu, I'm offended as someone of Indian origin! But hey, sensationalism is what tabloids thrive on...and the star is no different..
