How long does a person has to report the accident to:-
Police - what if the report is not made within the time frame?

Insurance company - within how many hours a person has to report the accident to the insurance company and how many days to CLAIM?

Any adivce?

Well, within 24 hours to police. It is mandatory of the damage is >$1000.00
If the opposite party informs to the police even if it is <$1000 damage then Police will call you o get your side of story.

Each insurance company is free to decide thier own procedures. Therefore, your insurer would be able to answer the question more precisely. However, most insurance companies would urge you to advise them of any accident immediately. And remember, even if you don't file an insurance claim and only discuss the accident, this would go on your record...and you MAY see an increased premium at renewal.

if the damage is not alot...then fix it on ur own..dont go through the insurance.
who was in fault? where was the accident?
