Not bad at all. IMO, it was better than some of the others like Phil and Haley. This dude has no stage fear and is an entertainer. As Randy Jackson said, Sanjaya is one of the smartest contestants.
On the flip side, he needs to stop smiling all the time. When talking to Ja Lo he seemed very uncomfortable. Someone needs to show him the tape and get him straight. With a little seriousness, he may do well.

Well, Sanjaya is still in the game.
The 3 last- 2 sang Carlos Santana numbers- but got re-incorporated. Is there a lesson in that? Santana-Down but not out. He's still considered one of the greatest guitarists of all time.
I liked the bit with Tony Bennett. They actually said one of the greatest legends of all time was bad. He's right up in there with ol'blue eyes, Dino Martin, Pat Boone, Bobby Darin. Lampoon.80 years old and still goin' strong.

I think Sanjaya will hang on for 2-3 weeks. Haley was expected to go as she was worse than Sanjaya. More of showing her legs than singing. Sigh!
IMO, the judges kept on criticizing him and it attracted attention. He is only 17 and time is on his side. Sure he will encash on the popularity, -ve or +ve. It could make a career for him, may be a backup singer.
