We husband and wife are retired persons and landed immigrants since May 1999 and holder of P.R.card.I was absent from Canada for full one year in 2003 for my private reasons and again in 2005 due to accident of my wife who was opereated for brain surgery and advised to take rest and treatment in India by our Doctors.Under these circumstances If I make application in March 2007 I shall be completing only 720 days physical sty of preceding 4 years in March 2007.Actually I require in all 1080 days (Three years in four years period).Can I submit my application on medical ground or any other ground to justify my absence.Plese discuss.
A short answer would be NO you can't. You don't qualify.
Most likely you will be refused, but at the end of the day it would most likely end up being upto the citizenship judge(to whom you will probably be referred). It is upto you if you want to take a shot.
