Please don’t waste any food because there are billions of organisms that need to be fed everyday. Remember the millions that are malnourished and go to bed on an empty stomach.

Conserve energy because the resources that we use to generate energy is limited, we have inherited it and need to pass it on to future generations. Energy can neither be created nor destroyed and the amount of energy in the universe is constant. Don’t cut down and burn trees to generate wasteful emissions. Don’t disturb the equilibrium in the ecosystem.

Eat healthy and maintain a healthy lifestyle so you won’t have to visit a physician and pop in those dreadful pharmaceutical pills. I have worked in pharmaceutical companies and based on my experience drugs aren’t your best friend. A healthy lifestyle boosts up your immune system and improves the quality of life.

Don’t hoard wealth but share it because your future generations are not going to thank you for it but will indulge in wasteful spending and blow it all away.

You are the captain of your ship and can chart your own destiny. Don’t crib and cry but create opportunities by developing your skills.

Don’t waste time because time lost is lost forever. So don’t wander around in shopping malls or driving around doing nothing. You will be wasting your life. Instead use your time for doing some charitable work.

Smile because that keeps you happy and makes the other person happy too. You have made someone’s day more pleasant

In your life , make a listy of 25 things which you want to do .... like visting a place or accomplishing something..... for at your death bed you would care less if you would have earned a few more dollars or spend more time at work..... it will be these fulfilled desires that will give you peace ...or the lack of it .

I have remembered these lines from a book I had read lots of time back .... 'Words from a father to his son ' or was it 'advice'.... i donot recollect clearly but if you get your hands on this book please do leave it unread .

Another advice was - always keep a spare key taped secretly to your car .

Another one was (now they are coming back out of nowhere ) - Marry only for love - from this decison will come your life s 80% happiness .

Another one - Keep secrets - it pays !!

My personal add on ... always keep a true friend - one alone can sufice for a world!!
