Citizenship
We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on October 2, 2006.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called A Look at Canada on October 2, 2006.

We started processing your application on December 5, 2006.

Your file was transferred to the Mississauga CIC office on January 29, 2007. The Mississauga CIC office will contact you if additional information is required. The Mississauga CIC office will contact you regarding your citizenship test once all the necessary checks on your file are complete.

I wrote the test today in Mississauga and went good. There were around 40 people and they checked the passports and stamps throughly.

Next, waiting for Oath if everything goes smoothly

This site and forum helped me a lot to learn about the processes and also the test Q&As in this site are very useful. Thanks to the moderators and other members who adviced me in the last couple of months.

congrats majicrobot for test----when do u expect oath? Did they say anything abt oath?

While I gave my answer sheet to me, they just told me that I am all set to go. We didn't discuss about Oath. Based upon the pattern, I think we should get oath before Mid March.

Hi Guys,

You are doing a wonderful job. I applied in July'04 after a huge delay, fingerprinting etc., I finally gave the test on Aug8,2006. Still waiting for oath ceremony.

The last time I contacted CIC, I was told to wait till Jun'07.

I had sponsored my wife in '03 and she applied in '06 and is already a citizen!!

I don't know how much longer this whole process would take!! Any information would help.

sorry for late reply.I got oath date in 15 days after test but i could not make it for oath ceremony due to personal reasons which was scheduled for mar/05.Let us see if I get the date again--regards
