Permanent Resident CARD

I landed in canada as a permanent resident in may 2006. I heard that once we provide canadian address CIC office sends the permanent resident card to that address.

Yes, Card arrive for my wife exactly within one month but my card hasn't arrived yet..neither i have received any letter informing me of anything wrong in application etc..
I would appreciate if anyone could suggest me what might be the cause?
What can I do to receive the card?

And again, can I be able to apply for another card incase nothing happens with this first card?

You should first phone and enquire about your card. It may have been misplaced, lost or someone is waiting for more information from you [and you don't know it].
