Hi all!

I moved to Montreal a month ago. I have not been able to locate an Indian Grocery store yet. I am living dowtown but can drive anywhere in Montreal. Can anyone recommend any Indian grocery stores anywhere in Montreal? I need masalae, south indian specialities like rava iddlie mix etx. Does anyone know where I might get these? Are there any indian online grocery stores in Canada?

Also, do any indian restuarants serve good dosas in Montreal?

Thanks a lot in advance!!

Which one is the biggest (having large selection of indian spices/groceries) among the list ? I have been to few of them but they are mom-n-pop stores with very basic stuff. I would like to know if there are any large indian grocery store in Montreal where one can find large selections of spices, boxed and frozen indian food, etc. ?

I was previously living in cities like Atlanta, Houston etc. and many indian grocery stores are as large as Provigos. I was expecting something similar in Montreal. Those are convenient for one-stop once a month kind of visit where you find all possible selection of frozen indian food, mix splices, etc. Please let me know if anyone in here knows a good indian grocery store in Montreal.

U can not compare Atlanta VS Montreal , so u will not find any grocery as big as provigo in Montreal.

However, there are few in Montreal which you can find most of the stuff…

Start With : Singh FARM in WEST ISLAND (Dollard-des-Ormeaux)

Marche Victoria in – Montreal ( Victoria street – near Plamdom metro)

Desi Mandi – Montreal ( Jarry stree – near indian temple

Or you can go to Jean talon / L’ acadi – u will find couple indian, paki, srilankan grocery on that perticular street
