Though i have criticised mallus in my earlier posting, i have very good mallu,christian,sardar,parsi frds in Toronto and guys but still in emergency i would prefer to call gujju frd because i knw what answer i am goin to get from others......exceptions are everywhere but rare

but still i dnt want to give my comments on other communitiesssss.....being in Canada i want my child to knw gujarati culture as well.

There is a difference between being progressive and being modern, if we can understand one.

India has over 500 and odd languages spoken through the length and breatdh of the country. I only meant, that this is a very unusual phenomenon occuring and educated and the literate ones should be the one to break the hetrogenous pattern engulfing our great country.

Lastly, no offence intended, but from the face of your inputs, you appear to be as old as my son is... and hence I can only tell from my long experience that anywhere in this world, "a friend in need is a friend indeed!". Be it anybody, anywhere, on the globe. Leave aside Gujaratis, non Gujaratis, or even Indians, for that matter.

I am at loss to understand, even after coming to Canada, why so many threads for gujju friends, tamil friends, marathi friends, etc. etc. This is a desi forum, so why you try to divide desi far away from desh. Why don't people who need friends only in particular community, start gujjudesi.com or tamildesi.com, etc. etc.
