hey guys there s a limit on PMs...did u know that....not getting transmitted beyond a certain number in a day...have to wait till tomorrow..sigh..
anyways...once u r a OCI u can stay in India forever like a returning NRI...to renew yur expired Can passport just walk into Can High Comm and extend it...the best wud be stay 5 months in India, 5 months in Canada and 2 months in Dubai...be a non resident everywhere and dont pay taxes or pay less any/ everywhere...crooked thinking says that fleece all goverments because they fleece you too and do not fully recognize you or your talent...T I T S for tat...oops..

Having an option is better than no option at all! Currently seniors are treated well over here. They are treated lousy in India. If the situation gets tough over there it is a free for all where seniors stand no chance.
Taking a risk AND taking insurance is better than NOT taking the risk at all...India is the happening place right now where you can make your career grow. Canada is stagnant. But there are fundamental problems with India. A corrupt political system , overpopulation , a divergent trend in wealth between urban and rural all indicate instability. There is a risk to comitting to India. You cover that risk either by having enough money or political power or the ability to leave.
1. How long can you stay in india with a Canadian Passport and still come back to canada and be admitted?
Answer: Indefinitely. But the Indian government could revoke your OCI and deport you. (Don't mess around with Jaya!)
2. If my Canadian passport expires while i am india, where am i supposed to renew it / get a new one? Can i get it at CIC new delhi?
Answer: Yes. But a better idea if you have the money is to make a trip to Canada once every five years and renew it over here. You can renew your driver's license , OHIP etc at the same time. You can claim residency and OAS benefits later on!

You cannot renew a canadian passport. Once it expires in five years you have to re-apply for a new one.

maybe u r right...they will have to re issue a passport so long as u r a citizen of canada from any of the canadian High Commission...so re applying wud lead to renewal...shall continue the lead tomorrow for sure...the day is over for me ...guys have a good weekend

So you mean to say that you live on welfare in all the three countries (the only other way is to have a business in all three countries to support your living)?
If you could write a book on the strategies to be on welfare in three countries at one time, it will make you a multi-millionaire in no time! And in that situation, your readers can live on welfare while you can live in all these countries as a rich spoilt brat!!!@

Do you know that if you claim residency by having a driver's licence and OHIP etc. you are also liable for taxation on your world income? Year after year!
