Jalasa food is permanantly closed?

Their website pops up alert that they only cater takeout option (no dine in) but when calling the number provided on their website it says it doesnt exist anymore.

I haven't tried the number, but they are moving to a new location on McLauglin road. Should reopen in a month - I believe.

Will ask the owners and post here when I have more news.

A new phone number is on the way - the new location is on Queen street/McLauglin in Brampton starting in about 3-4 weeks.

Email them if you wish to order catering, someone will call you back to discuss the details.

Have anyone tried Goverdhan Thal in Scarborough, is it still operating? The concept was that of many Gujarati restaurants in Gujarat.

I never been there as the food labeled "Gujarati" is branded as sweet and it is indeed too sweet for me.

Yes, It's still open and running. A lot of their clientele is from bachelors and students who live in the neighbourhood.

I go there once in a while to pick up Dhokla, or is it Khaman (the yellow one).

They do have a coupon booklet, where everytime you eat, you use up one coupon, or you can use the coupon for it's face value.

They do a lot of catering too. I know they supplied fast food during the NaMo visit a year or so ago.

Everytime I'm there I feel eating the typical Gujarati food.

GG, If you find the food sweet, they have hari mirchi to go with the food

Last year when I was in Toronto I visited this restaurant . Food is good you may find gujarati vedmi ( puran poli ) , laddu , undhiyu etc.. but restaurant is congested . They had a branch in etobickoke which was spacious but it is closed now .
