I am aware of the fact that a ton have been spoken and disscussed about the above topics , and i have been a reguler reader of these , both thro' CD and sponceryourparents websites, but i have been getting various information about this subject, kindly find below some of them

1. Eligibility of an individual to sponser his/ her parents

View 1 : filing of tax returns ( does not matter if he is doing it after 2 months after landing in canada or after 12 months)

View 2 : minimum 1 year residence in canada, and immediate tax year

View 3 : as early u can show the income eligibility either one years income ( if an immigrant arrived in jan 05 the will be jan 06 ) or dec 05 when he / she files returns


2. Income limit for sponsoring parents( assuming single person sponsoring two persons i.e. both parents)

View 1 : Gross $ 33000
View 2 : Gross $ 46000
View 3: Gross $ 20000
View 4: Gross $ 38000

(please note that these figures are not random and was collected from immigration lawyers, CD forum, sopnsoryourparents representatives and information from friends etc)

3. Visitors Visa for parents

View 1 : Apply for visitors visa and then sponsoring will be easy
View 2 : Apply for Sponsor and the getting multiple entry visitors is easy and CIC allows that
View 3: It is very difficult to get multiple entry or single entry , so apply for sponsorship and wait till it happens
View 4:Apply for single entry if your family has enough assets( no exact value assigned ), to go back after their visa expires or you have enough reason for bringing them on visitors visa e.g. childbirth or small children or similerly satrong and compelling reasons


If anyone can kindly guide me to the exact data regarding the subject and provide me links which shows exactly what is the eligibility criteria regarding money or time , I will really appriciate the same very very much.

from here as i understand that , a person can apply and sponsor his / her parents if he /she has the minimum income ( pls count urself also in the income limit i.e. if u and ur wife want to sponsor both of ur parents then check the income limit for 6 persons and not 4)
