How many years can you stay away once you land and return to your country

Hi All,
How many years can we actually stay outside canada, once you get your PR and move out of canada. I heard in 5 years, you have to show 2 years of Residency in canada. So if we move out as soon as we get PR, can we have 3 years time to comeback and settledown.

Hi Prahar30,

Yes, You can live 3 yrs straight out of Canada within 5 yrs.
