Hi,
I submitted my PR application in April 2008, I am in S/W industry, while filling PR application I made one small mistake... I apologize and worried about it.
I come under Occupation Code "217: Computer and Information Systems
Professionals"
However, by mistake number 3 has been appended to it and it became " 2173"
Please advise....
1. Do I need to write them an email to CIC about it ?
OR
2. While going through my other documents such as .. Work Permit, qualifications, Current Job designation etc, will Visa Officers correct it?
3. what to do ? what will happen?
Thanks
Shalini.
Shalini, there is nothing to worry about. Its a clerical mistake. Write them a simple letter stating this mistake. Keep a copy of this letter and if possible
courier delivery proof. If you have any problem at a later stage you can show them the copy of this communication that you have sent to them earlier.

Thanks,
Sure, I will send them a letter abt this.
How about email communication ?
Thanks

When you a submit an application for Permanent Residency, after the receipt of your application, they will issue to you a file number.
Based upon the file number, you can write and tell them that you made a mistake and it needs to be corrected as follows. At that time when you quote your file number to all of your future correspondence, directing to that file, it goes to your specific file and it gets proper attention, that it calls for.
So, I would suggest that you hold off all of what you want to say, till you receive that file number.
Hope this helps you a little.
Freddie.
