I am moving to Toronto in December and am looking for the classifieds for rental apartments. Most of them say cable or telephone line included.

Does that mean I dont have to pay those monthly bills to Rogers or Bell or whichever companies' connection the landlord may have taken??

Is it advisable to rent such apartments that say cable/landline included??

Regards

Peace

Am I missing something... if it says 'included', they why would you have to pay.

Out of curiosity, I'd be interested in seeing those ads. Could you provide the link.

Is it paying guest accommodation?

Sometimes condo fees includes cable connection. May be it is one of those condos.

I have never seen anybody give landline connection to be included with rent with apartments.

Cable is generally included because it's just a matter of putting a splitter and creating an extra connection.

However a landline is included too? That's the first I've heard. Please elaborate...

OIC.. that link is for a rental basement, not a rental apartment per se. There's a vast difference between the two.
