Hi,

I had a succesfull interview in June 2003 and was asked to submit ROLF and some other documents, all of which I submitted in early August. My e-client status was updated to "Decision Made" in late August and I recieved a letter from CIC a week ago stating that they were now doing background checks on me. I wish to know as to when are these background checks initiated? Would mine have been initiated right after my interview or after the e-client status was updated? Also, how long do these checks usually take?

Someone Please shed some light on this,

As per CIC newsletter of Feb 2003, most processing posts begin the background checks after the applicant has successfully passed their Selection Interview and can take anywhere between 8-12 months for completion.

i also applied for pr status under refugee category in may 5 2005 an dreceived my first stage of approval in nov 2005 CIC are still saying they are checking my backgrounds.

anyidea how long it will take more??

plz help
