As far as I know in medical canada immigration most concers about ifectious dieases like.. TB, AIDS, etc.. big list they check.
They will metioned about your dad's diabetic condition in medical report but as far as I know tht did not qualify as failed.
My parents are also appearing for medical test; but before doing this..they have checked with one of the docotor who is doing medical for canada immigration.
I will this with my lawyer in detail and post it back..

Thanks Despremi,
Though my dad's diabetes haven't affected any organs as yet,but as i said before the doctor has said there's 2% protein in the kidneys and the sugar has reached the eyes(initial level)...but he said he has grouped them under "Group B" i.e curable diseases.I don't know where to look for help......someone told me that the delhi authorities would give 2-3 months extensions...to cure the disease and then we can send them the medical again...is this true???Guys, thanks for your help...i knew someone on this site would help me.
cheers!!!

Hey............
I am not sure what happens if medical fails but this is what happened with my parents.
They were asked to do the medical exam and which they both did and a few weeks later they recieved documentation that my mom should undergo a month of testing through the same imho doctorand when that was done she got the visa after a few weeks.
Funny thing is she got it for six months and dad got it for 5 years and to top it off my mom was given an additional document which states that the canadian officials can monitor her health anytime and that if required or determined by the secondary officer at the port she might have to go to a canadian doctor within a span of a month.
I dont understand whats going on but for now im Just happy that they will be getting here soon.
Thanks and Hope people with similar experiences might shed some more light onto this.

Hi azaz,
thanks for replying and i'm in the same situation as u described .My parents got a letter 2-3 days back, that they should undergo a re-medical examination from the same doctor within 1 month and send them the results,as you said happened in your mom's case. But,you never mentioned wat disease was, might be it was a minor one..and they allowed her a visa. But,I dont knw..and there's no expert replyin to this thread....anyways thanks for the help..and in the meantime i remain with my fingers crossed.
Bye
