Port of Entry Delays/Troubles

This is specifically for those with 1st/2nd or even 3rd hand experience at the port of entry if they arrive[d] in the last 2+ years of their 5 year period stipulation - that is to say that they received their pr'ship almost 5 years ago but for some or the other reasons could not immediately come and instead came in the last two years.

We fall in this category and wish to know if one could be refused entry or delayed inordinately or could be asked about proofs of 'intention' that might be good to anticipate and prepare oneself accordingly. Any advice would be helpful. I thank you for your input.

I read on another site that the following happens:

The immigration officer at your port of entry asks you if you agree that you have not kept your residency obligations. If you simply answer 'yes' he/she may refuse entry into Canada and you will need to get on a flight out of Canada from the airport.

If you say no, there are reasons because of which you wish to appeal this law because circumstances beyond your control forbid you to return, they give you a temporary resident entry permit and then the issue goes to an immigration court.

It's best you contact a Canadian immigration lawer to plot your course of action.
